Coach Finn (Brendan Finnerty) / Head Varsity Coach
First year Head Coach ‘Finn’ comes to Trabuco with his Bachelors Degree in Business Accounting from Fairfield University. He brings with him collegiate level Lacrosse experience, having been honored as a two time HS All- American Lacrosse player from his hometown in NY. Recently, he just acquired his teaching credential and is seeking a substitute teacher position at Trabuco Hills HS. Coach Finn’s expectations for the program are both aggressive and measured, with immediate goals to capture league and begin to challenge for CIF. Coach Finn presents this favored motto going into the 2011 season:

Coach Andrew Taghdiri (Mouse) / Varsity Assistant Coach
Coach Andrew “MOUSE” Taghdiri enters his second season as Varsity assistant coach after two years as JV Coach. An alumnus (‘07) of Trabuco Hills High, Andrew played Lacrosse all four years of high school as an attack man and midfielder. Achieving a starting position as a sophomore, he went on to captain his junior and senior year squad. The positive experiences and friendships built through those years fostered his commitment to the game and program, which brings Andrew back each season. “Being a coach is one of the greatest opportunities I have ever had because not only am I still apart of the sport I have come to love, but I get to teach my passion and love for the game, share personal experiences and connect with the players. Now is the time to step it up. We have a smaller team but a lot more talent. I have high expectations this year. I believe we will have many victories and shock many of our opponents. Coach Alex Gundy / Head JV Coach
Alex is a first year coach and THHS Alumni. As a 4 year starting goalie, Alex brings his dedicated and team oriented philosophy to the program. His lacrosse experience began in 2003 as a goalie for the RSM Roadrunners, them moving on to play 2 years for the OC Starz. Currently Alex attends Saddledleback Community College and expects to transfer in the fall of 2011 to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering and move on to serve in the Marine Corps as an officer related to combat engineering. abgundy1@yahoo.com
Coach Tyler Griffin / Head Fresh/Soph
Tyler is a first year coach and THHS Alumni, having played 4 years at THHS and earning a varsity letter as a sophomore. His senior year, Tyler earned the position of a team captain and awarded offensive player of the year. His coaching philosophy is to bring the team together as a unit and to teach the players the basics of Lacrosse and to have fun because that is what sports is are about. “It’s not about winning; it is about playing the game properly and like gentlemen.” fisherman01@cox.net
